About the project and the company
Book-It Repertory Theatre is holding open auditions for our 2022-2023 season. If we haven’t met yet, my name is Zenaida Smith (she/her). I am offering 15-minute audition appointments, one-on-one via Zoom. Please read the full description below.

All experience levels are welcome, and preference will be given to local artists.
Please note:
- In-person callbacks, including Actors’ Equity Principal Auditions, for each production will be held throughout the summer.
- Youth auditions will also be held later this summer, so I ask that actors under 18 do not sign up for this round of auditions.
- Everyone working at Book-It Repertory Theatre is required to be vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination upon hiring. Book-It also requires proof of vaccination and masking for audience members. Our policies are based on and evolve with our agreement with Actors’ Equity Association and recommendations by public health authorities. Audition requirements
Prepare for the following in your audition: A conversation. I want to get an idea of the stories that spark your excitement and how you like to create. What stories do you want to see yourself in? What about these stories draws you in? What questions do you have about Book-It? A monologue or passage of text from the media of your choice. This could be from a book, play, movie, TV show, or any piece of media where the character speaking has a direct listener in mind. Please keep your selection under one and a half minutes in length. No headshot or resume is required for your appointment.
