Job Description

The Education Production Manager in conjunction with the Education Director, and under the supervision of the Managing Artistic Director, shall supervise the education project management of Lakewood Institute of Theatre at Lakewood Playhouse. We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates outstanding skills that meet or exceed the requirements in this job posting, excellent technical abilities including attention to detail; and who is a team player, enthusiastic, articulate and has an interest in the arts.

Required Qualifications

Education and/or Equivalent Experience Preferred:
3-5 Years production experience in a professional theatre environment

Education:
College Degree preferred, or 3 years with the intent of graduating no later than Spring of 2022

General Job Requirements:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with the pressures of multiple tasks and deadlines in a positive manner.

- Have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, assertiveness, being proactive, and take initiative.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Google Calendar, and Google Docs/Drive, and Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

- Strong skills in stage management and one or more of the following: lighting, sound, scenery, props, and/or costumes.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Demonstrated abilities in “people skills,” including building trust and rapport in business relationships with diverse individuals, and demonstrating listening skills, poise, and tact.

- Demonstrated regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.

- The candidate must be able to complete a background check. We will do the background check at the finalist stage prior to hire.
