ABOUT THE COMPANY: Annex annually produces 5 world-premiere plays by living playwrights and helmed by local directors, ranging from radical reinterpretations of classic scripts and ensemble-generated devised spectacles to dynamic solo performances and evocatively relevant plays.
ACCESSIBILITY INFO: Annex Theatre is not wheelchair accessible. There are two flights of stairs to get to Annex Theatre and no elevator in the building. There are two steps to get to the two bathrooms in the space, which are both single stalled and gender neutral.
We would also like to keep the space low scent to no-scent, so please try to refrain from wearing strong scented products or oils.

After the apocalypse, a trio of queer ranchers are protecting the last horse on earth from a group of starving runaways, who are trying their best not to become cannibals. All of them, ranchers and runaways alike, struggle to remember what makes them human in a world urging them to forget their compassion and their sanity.

We will be hosting two one-hour long workshops each day on December 14 and December 15 (You will only need to be at one). In the form below, you'll be able to tell us which workshop that you'd like to attend. If you cannot make it to a workshop and would like an opportunity to audition, please email Minna Lee at Lee.minna14@gmail.com to make another arrangement. We want to see everyone!
Times: The first workshop each day is from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM and the second workshop is from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Please prepare a 60 second piece, which can be in the form of a monologue, song, poem, or movement piece that suits your comfort and person. If you have other ideas for personal performative offering- we’d love to know!
The audition will be in the form of a workshop led by our director, Grace Carmack. Prepare for a soft process and please bring water, comfortable shoes/clothes, and anything else you might need to take care of yourself. We will be doing group compositions, working on sides from the script provided at the audition, and wrapping up with 60 second monologue, poem, or movement piece that allows for your success and comfort.
