Broadway Bound is looking for an sound designer and engineer for our productions of Aladdin Jr and Les Miserables School Edition. All actors are between the ages of five and eighteen.
Responsible to design and source or create all sound effects needed for the productions. load-in all audio equipment including a digital board, wireless mic systems, and monitors for cast and band/orchestra. Manages all mic assignments, makes sure all audio elements are in good order, runs the board and mic check during all tech/dress rehearsals and performances. All rehearsals are four hours with additional time in the space as requested.
Contract begins in December to see run-throughs and begin load-in. January begin tech for Aladdin Jr with changeover at the end of the month into Les Miserables SE until February 16th. Total of twelve performances for each show.
Broadway Bound Children's Theatre does not offer travel or housing stipends. Candidates must be able to pass a background check.

Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre transforms the lives of children, ages 5 – 18 through active participation in theatre arts combining a fun and supportive atmosphere with professional standards. Candidates must have experience working on a digital sound board and live mixing from multiple sources.
Broadway Bound rehearses in the University District, but all tech rehearsals and performances are held at the Rainier Arts Center in Columbia City. The theater seats 242 with a pre-existing speaker set-up. Church services are held on Sunday so the board will need to be configured to allow for their audio engineer.
