Job Description

-Collaborates with Artistic Director and directors
• Takes production meeting notes and creates/distributes rehearsal reports.
• Facilitates and/or attends scheduled meetings/events:
• Creates and distributes run list, contact sheet, rehearsal calendar, and other record- keeping documents called for by Artistic Director.
• Calls all performances alongside Sound Designer in booth.
• Communicates and reminds actors and production team of deadlines.
• Communicates with actors and production team via email the week before with tech /dress / performance schedule.
• Communicates with production team regarding all aspects of production.
• Honors all deadlines set by Artistic Director and designers.
• Communicates scheduling conflicts to Managing Director at least 48 hours in advance.

Seeking a Stage Manager, Props person, and Costume Designer for a ten minute play festival at Theatre Off Jackson in June. Stipends are $150 per person. Production timeline is April – June. Required Qualifications

Education and Experience
• At least two years of prior experience in theatre or equivalent experience.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree or minor in Theatre Arts or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Effective knowledge of theatrical stage management.
• Ability to honor rehearsal schedule and time commitment.
• Ability to successfully employ effective communication strategies in creative process.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective management strategies in creative process.
• Ability to interact positively and confidentially with creative team and general public.
• Ability to exercise sensitivity in dealing with individuals of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, cognitive and physical abilities, as well as with individuals of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
• Dedicated to actively practicing consent in the creative process.
• Ability to communicate needs, questions or clarify policy with Artistic Director.
